Description

Saltlageret (1975 – 1987) was a venue on Gammel Kongevej 10 in Copenhagen , located on the site where the Tycho Brahe Planetarium is located today.

The concert venue was inaugurated by Gasolin in October 1975, and during the 70s was visited by many of the contemporary folk jazz and rock groups, including such eclectic names as CV Jørgensen , the Christiania band Hyldemor, Palle Mikkelborg , Buki-Yamaz , BB King , Pakhus 1 , the guitarist Christian Sievert and the Finnish Jukka Tolonen and the Swedish Wasa Express.

In the early 80s, the venue was taken over by the Danish punk and post-punk scene. Bands like the Sods, Brats, Bollocks, Ballet Mécanique, Before, City-X , ADS , UCR etc. frequently performed there.
