Scotson-Clark worked in the U.S.S. from 1891-1897 as stage and costume designer, designer of theatrical posters. He also became art editor of Century Magazine in the 1890’s, and designed book posters for Dodd, Mead. and posters for The Outing, (1896-1897). Returned to England in 1897 where he contined to produce theatrical posters.
