Tim recently made the front page of the Antiques Trade Gazette and headlines across South America after a painting he identified as by Juan Manuel Blanes (1830-1901) sold for a record £1.15 million (£1.488 including buyer’s premium) at Toovey’s auctioneers in West Sussex. The painting depicting a Gaucho on Horseback in a Uruguayan prarie became the 4th most expensive painting to be auctioned outside of London, an auction record for the artist, and a house record for Toovey’s.

Tim recently made the news after rediscovering a lost portrait by leading 18th century portraitist George Romney (1734-1802).
